FESTIVAL OF NEW SPANISH CINEMA COMING TO THE THEATER NEAR YOUIf you are in the centre of town already, just look around, and you will find our 2nd Annual Festival of New Spanish Cinema! In a maelstrom of hallucinatory imagination, the directors in this year’s lineup present their wildest hopes and dreams. Intertwining drama, horror and animation in outrageous new ways, styles range from superb examples of Spain’s offbeat thrillers, brutal and wrenching fairy tales, to socially engaged cinema. MORE YUMMY TREATSThis year’s festival promises more than just great cinema. We’ll host Q&A screenings with visiting filmmakers, family film screenings with the animation De Profundis The Sound of the Sea, university master classes and much much more. As an added bonus, Pragda will precede each screening of the FESTIVAL OF NEW SPANISH CINEMA with a surprise presentation from Teaserland.com—an entertaining online festival which features fake movie trailers made by well known directors such as Isabel Coixet shown alongside those made by up-and-coming filmmakers.
