Mariano Biasin was born in Buenos Aires in 1980. He graduated from Eliseo Subiela’s Professional School of Cinematography in 2004 and worked as an Assistant Director in more than 30 Feature Films alongside Directors such as Paula Hernández, Pablo Giorgelli, Eliseo Subiela, Diego Lerman, Gastón Duprat, and Julio Chávez among others. He directed the short film Fabrizio’s Initiation (2015), which was selected for 50 International Film Festivals and won over 20 awards and mentions, including the Crystal Bear at Berlinale – Generation Kplus 2016, and was nominated for the Condor de Plata Award.

Biasin also co-directed the short film Hell in the Goal Area (2020), which was recently acquired by HBO and selected for 20 International Film Festivals and has won over 10 international awards up to this moment. Sublime (2022) is his debut feature film.
