Spanish and English with Spanish Subtitles

Pepa, a Spanish spitfire hairdresser and aspiring mystery writer, is single, heart broken and seven months pregnant when she discovers that she might have gotten pregnant on the night of her birthday when she blacked out and doesn’t remember a thing, turning her life upside down. Together with her manipulative mother Carmen, who just came from Spain unexpectedly and Benjamin, Pepa’s gay best friend, they begin a comic, detective journey in search of the anonymous father. About the Directors
Francisco Lupini Basagoiti (director) attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he wrote and directed several short films. After graduating college, Lupini formed his company Imperator Films that is currently developing its first feature film La Maestra. Francisco received this year the Brett Ratner Award.
Paula Roman (lead-writer-producer) studied Drama at Herbert Berghof and Uta Hagen HB Studio, improvisation at UCB, and screenwriting courses at NYU. After starring in several independent movies and on the Off Off Broadway theater scene, Paula co-produced the play The Color of August. She also founded her production company, MarcaPasos Films, with which she has produced the TV pilot La Manzana (The Apple), co-written and starred by her, winning the Best Acting Award at the ITV FEST in LA (2010), and the short film Blackout, also written and starred by her.
