Débora Gobitta holds a degree in Cinema and has been working as a screenwriter and director since 2009. Whether in fiction or documentary, her work gravitates toward uncommon stories and complex, multifaceted characters. Her filmmaking goes beyond entertainment—driven by a desire to inform, provoke reflection, and inspire transformation.
Passionate about text, dramaturgy, and contemporary narratives centered on female perspectives, Gobitta was selected in 2019 by the Elas Seal for the development of her feature film project Aurora (thriller, 90’). In 2021, she completed her debut feature documentary Liberty!, a powerful exploration of the transformative role of literature within Brazil’s prison system.
