Born and raised in Guadalajara, César Aréchiga is an artist, filmmaker, painter, and cultural promoter. He has always been characterized by a wide range of artistic interests and a constant search for experimentation in different media.
Having been personally affected by the drug violence in Mexico, his work speaks volumes about ongoing issues that cease to subside. Politically charged and powerful, Arechiga’s images are an interpretation of society and all it has to offer: love, beauty, materialism, corruption, religion, war, and creation.
Aréchiga’s work as a filmmaker includes the documentary 45 Days in Jarbar and NET: Games of Life.
