Humberto Tavárez is a Dominican director and screenwriter, trained in clinical psychology and creative writing, with a strong interest in exploring socially grounded stories through humor and satire.

Taváres made his directorial debut in 2020 with the short film El Behind. In 2024, he released his first feature film, Pérez Rodríguez, and shot his second feature, Kiki & Kiki. Both projects showcase his distinctive style, tackling universal themes from fresh and comedic perspectives.
