Born in Barcelona, Spain, Carlos Marques-Marcet started developing his unique voice at an early age. His early work earned him the INJUVE Young Creators Award, participation in film workshops with directors such as Abbas Kiarostami, as well as the Cahiers de Cinema’s 2008 Best Short Film award for his film Udols. Marques-Marcet moved to Los Angeles after being granted a scholarship to study film at UCLA. His short films I’ll Be Alone and Yellow Ribbon received several awards including a DGA recognition.
