The Dominican film 339 Amin Abel Hazbún will be presented at this year´s edition of the Chicago Latino Film Festival.
The film, which is based on a real story, is an intriguing account of the murder of Amín Abel Hasbun, a brilliant student leader in the Dominican Republic accused of kidnapping US Embassy official J. Crowley. Hasbún was one of many young leftists fighting against the government of Dr. Joaquín Balaguer, who favored a repressive regime.
Pericles Mejía, actor of the film will be at Chicago presenting 339 Amin Abel Hazbún and answering questions form the audience.
