About the Directors
Having been trained as an architect, Ripoll Freixes (1928-1992) was an active moviegoer, creating several cinema clubs including the legendary Lumiere Circle (1951). A film critic since 1952, he founded and maintained the magazine Lumiere (1962-1973). The Happy Parallel is his only work as an author.
