About the essence of travelling. From Ulan Bator to Kathgal, and once the destination has been reached (in this case the reindeer riding mountain tribe Tsataa) the road leads on again. Beautiful and atmospheric documentary investigation of a remote area in Mongolia and several of its inhabitants.
What is the traveller looking for? Does travel have any purpose? These are the questions Anna Sanmarti poses to herself in this documentary. Sanmarti, who previously cooperated with Joaquim Jordà, went looking for a place on earth that could hold a mirror up to her. The result is an almost tangible visual poem with great feeling for detail.
