DESCRIPTION

PRAGDA is looking for talented film lovers to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Spanish and Latin American films and a strong commitment to bringing these cinemas to the world. We are looking for committed candidates available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, remotely from their location.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or senior Film, Cinema, Marketing, Latin American, or Spanish Studies major; or a graduate student looking to gain hands-on experience in the film distribution world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following list is a sample of some of the tasks Interns perform, but they vary depending on specific seasonal needs.

  • Management of new acquisition materials
  • Creation and editing of Discussion Guides based on our films
  • Sales lead research
  • Website content updates in WordPress
  • Communication creation and update
  • Daily Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter updates, including the creation of events, new acquisitions, general news, and the engagement of Pragda’s Facebook community in conversation
  • Increase Pragda’s visibility on social media
  • Outreach to Latin American and Spanish associations
  • Administrative support as needed to different members of the team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; the ability to multi-task, work independently; work well under pressure; and have self-initiative.
  • Familiarity with Internet research, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Office Suite are necessary.
  • Knowledge of and interest in Spanish language film and media is a plus.
  • Proven experience working with social media outlets, including design.
  • Interest in social media trends.
  • Strong English writing skills are a must. Spanish preferred.
  • True interest in learning how the U.S. educational film market works.
  • Self-starter, independent and professional attitude.
  • Creativity.

BENEFITS

Interns are asked to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Duration is flexible to meet university requirements, but a minimum commitment of three months is optimal. All interns will be required to sign an Internship Letter of Agreement that outlines the duration and schedule of their internship.

Pragda internship positions are unpaid. However, interns qualify for and have access to a number of services and benefits:

  • College or University course credit
  • Hands-on experience in a competitive film distribution company
  • Free access to screen titles from the Pragda collection
