MISSION KIPI / SONALY TUESTA / PERU / 81 MIN
During the COVID-19 pandemic, one teacher’s innovation sparked an educational revolution in the remote highlands of Peru. Mission Kipi follows Walter Velásquez and his remarkable teaching assistant—Kipi, a Quechua-speaking robot built from recycled parts—as they journey to reach children who had dropped out of school. What began as a creative solution to keep students learning has grown into a movement, reigniting curiosity and transforming the future of education in marginalized communities.

ANAMEI / ALESSANDRO GALASSI / PERU, ITALY / 65 MIN
Deep in the Peruvian Amazon, the Harakbut have long sought refuge in the legend of Anamei—a sacred tree of salvation that embodies their resilience against centuries of exploitation. Anamei weaves together this ancient myth with Pope Francis’s prophetic visit to the region and the historic Synod for the Amazon, which called for a new dialogue between cultures, nature, and faith. Through the poetic voice of Ana Varela Taruf—whose verses echo in the Pope’s Querida Amazonia—and the drawings of Harakbut children, the film brings to life the urgent battle to protect land, languages, and ancestral wisdom.
