The FESTIVAL OF NEW SPANISH CINEMA is back! And we’re sure you will find in its program the kind of stories you were looking for: Double agents! Awkward family gatherings! Crazy and boozy nights gone wrong! Unconventional romances! This and much more in your own city or very close, who can resist such a tempting offer? From the 23rd to the 26th of September 2010, the third edition of this travelling Festival will bring the latest works of Spanish filmmakers to the SIFF Cinema in Seattle: stunning debuts (Me Too, Three Days with the Family) coincide with major works of renowned authors (The Island Inside, After) in a program which celebrates the diversity and vitality of contemporary Spanish Cinema. The goal of the FESTIVAL OF NEW SPANISH CINEMA tour is presenting to audiences from North America the finest offbeat, independent and artistically-inspired Spanish films from all genres: narrative, experimental, and animation.

Q&A with Guest and Opening Night Fiesta:
Thursday Sept. 23, 8 pm: Screening of The Island Inside and Q&A with producer Patricia Campo. Join us after the film for an Opening Night fiesta at Belltown’s Taberna del Alabardero complete with food, drink, and music! Taberna del Alabardero is a legendary fine dining restaurant renowned for its elegant old world décor, dignified high standard of service, and traditional Spanish cuisine.
Saturday Sept. 25, 9:30 pm: Screening of After and Q&A with actor Tristán Ulloa (Sex and Lucia).

Tickets to the Opening Night Fiesta are $25 ($20 SIFF Members), and include admission to both film screening and after party at Taberna del Alabardero. Tickets to the film only are $12 ($10 SIFF Members).
