Wry and unpredictable, ShortMetraje features, for the fourth year in New York, the most challenging Spanish short films from all regions in Spain . The series includes the latest work by 2005 Academy Award Nominated Nacho Vigalondo (7:35 in the morning) and the most recent collaboration between Daniel Sánchez Arévalo and Julio Medem (Sex and Lucia). Join us to celebrate the vitality of Spanish short films, most of them never seen in US before! All films subtitled in English.
ShortMetraje is part of the film series Spanish Cinema Now that every year is celebrated at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Spanish Cinema Now is the only film series in NYC to show the latest film productions from Spain. Special thanks to Richard Peña, Antonio Muñoz Molina, Juan Blas Delgado, ICAA and of course all the filmmakers to support ShortMetraje every year.
Shortmetraje was organized in collaboration with the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the Instituto Cervantes, and Spanish Ministry of Culture.
