Two brothers embark on a deeply personal journey to find the FARC guerrillas who held their mother captive for two years. Before her death, their mother chose to forgive her captors, prompting the brothers to question whether they, too, could find forgiveness if they confronted the men who once guarded her. Guided by the diary their mother was allowed to keep during her captivity, they trace her steps through jungles and mountains, deciphering names and locations as they follow the painful trail she left behind.
Directed by Iván Guarnizo, On the Other Side transforms this quest into a moving exploration of memory, reconciliation, and the difficult path toward forgiveness.
