Spanish Film Club

Extended Deadline: April 15th

Great news! The deadline to apply for the Spanish Film Club matching grant program has been extended by 15 days! This is your chance to bring Latin American and Spanish film festivals to life in Fall 2025 for Hispanic Heritage Month or Spring 2026.

As always, thanks to the generous backing of the Spanish Ministry of Education, we offer matching grants covering up to 50% of screening fees. Don’t miss out!

This multi-award-winning film, a masterpiece of poetic storytelling, poses a thought-provoking question: What if women held all the political power? Imagine a utopian society where female scientists lead, and men are confined to domestic roles.

A major box office success in Spain, Chinas offers a compelling look at assimilation and the challenges of dual identity faced by different generations of immigrant communities in a new country.

Trapped in a digital blackmail labyrinth after her computer is stolen, director Pati Franquesa offers a gripping, first-hand account of her real-time struggle to maintain bodily autonomy and survive.

With princesses, toads, rivers, letters, and even a confused prince, this film offers a delicate exploration of art, friendship, and creative collaboration—challenging the role of women in traditional tales.

An exploration of the fine line between admiration and cultural appropriation within the vibrant world of the Muxes, the revered third-gender community of the Zapotec indigenous people.

Laureana’s uncle will box in a world championship, so she talks the town into watching it live on TV. One problem: they have no electricity nor a TV set. Colombia’s submission to the Academy Awards®.

A mature lawyer is consumed by an obsession to identify the soldiers who killed her brother during the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre in Mexico. A comedic thriller that explores revenge and forgiveness in a country historically hungry for justice.
